It's About Time!

I've been waiting for summer since the first day school began. FINALLY, I can relax and enjoy my friends and family, and dog. It feels great to be back! Sadie wore a sombrero for my birthday.

Finals

So, as I'm sure you all know, I still have a week of school left, and it's filled with finals. I even have a final on Saturday. And, I'm sure that you also know, most colleges are out right now, so I want to be out right now. So that means I don't really want to study. I want to go home! So please pray that I would do well on my finals. And I'll have you know that even though I don't want to study, I still am. Otherwise, what a waste of money! Thanks all! I'll see you all in a week, and we can all chat it up.

A Long Time in Coming

I know, this post is very late. As I've said before, I have to be in the writing mood to write things other than what's required. But, I'm going to make it up to you and write two posts in one sitting and supply lots of lovely pictures as well.

So, this post is about my long ago spring break in March. Two girlfriends from my floor, Emily and Kelsey, drove with me to Florida. We dropped Emily off at a friend's house in Orlando, and then Kelsey and I went and stayed with one of my friends in Treasure Island, which is right on the beach between St. Pete and Clearwater. The friend we stayed with has a cute, tiny little cottage that is so close that you can see the beach from her cottage. This was a really good deal for Kelsey and I because it was FREE, something that all college students live for. The girl that we stayed with is Charis' age and works two jobs, so she was gone most of the time, and then she went to Virginia for the last four days to pick up her brother at some military base. So, Kelsey and I went to the beach everyday, she layed out everyday, I didn't for good reason. In case you all didn't notice, I'm pasty white and I burn. Yes, I did wear my sunblock, but in order for one to not get burned at all you have to reapply it periodically according it's spf, and that takes work which someone sleeping on the beach does not want to do. Anyway, Kelsey and I had lots of fun laying out, playing in the ocean, shopping, watching about 2,793 movies, eating out, ordering in,interviewing people for our soc. projects, driving around and going to Wal-Mart at 3 in the morning for toilet paper, milk, juice and cereal for the next morning (afternoon actually is when we usually had breakfast). Yes the days of spring break were packed full of good times. Here are some pictures of the eventful week.

Oh, and driving there and back was half the fun, as road-tripping with your girlfriends always is; especially when someone honks and waves at you every 3 1/2 minutes because of the wonderful writing of window paint on your car.

Spring Break pictures are coming soon, I promise! But I can't upload anything onto my computer because my C drive is full. I know, BIG problem. So maybe my cool bro-in-law-to-be or cool dad can perform a little demo to the unnecessary crapola taking up unnecessary space on my puter, because I don't know what's necessary and what's not.

These are the beautiful ladies that drove to Florida with me, and that first picture, my friends, that is what we took to Florida. None of these pictures were taken on spring break, but are here to whet your visual whistle for what is to come.

A Favorite Quote

I'm sitting here at 2:29 am emitting a "heat aura" (as I told Mirm), and I can't go to sleep. I'm pretty sure I have the flu because I've had the aches, and 20 min. ago, I couldn't warm for anything; even with three comforters on me for an hour, I still had the shivers. But as I'm sitting here bored, singing my chair and my computer (because I'm burning), not able to sleep (I don't have classes on Thursdays, so it's okay) a quote from my favorite Bible teacher popped into my head from nowhere. I'm pretty sure this is meant for someone else right now. So, here is the quote: "You can't, God never said you could, HE can, and always said he would". That was on my teacher's bulletin board one semester, so I got to read and enjoy it every day for a while. Here are a few verses I'm leaving with you:

"But as for you, be strong and do NOT give

As I was getting out of bed a couple of minutes ago, because I couldn't sleep, I started singing this song, again, from nowhere it seemed: "Be bold be strong, for the Lord thy God is with you, be bold be strong, for the Lord thy God is with you. I am not afraid (No, No, No - ahaha), I am not dismayed! I'm walkin' in faith and victory, come on and walk in faith and victory, for the Lord thy God is with you!" Okay, sorry if some of the words are wrong, it's been a long while, and I pulled the lyrics from my childhood memories. But anyway as I'm digging through my Bible here, God brought me to this verse, and I read it and thought, oh we used to sing something similar to that as a song, and then I thought "Wait! Wasn't I just singing that?!" Crazy, I know. So here's the actual verse:

"The Lord himself goes before you and will
be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not
be discouraged."

I'M ON MY WAY......!

In case you didn't know, I'm COMING HOME this weekend! I know you're all rescheduling your life to come see me! I'm bringing three girls home with me from my floor; and let me tell you, it's going to be a party 22/7 - one hour for homework, one hour for sleep. Yes and of course, I'm NOT excited AT ALL! I mean come on, who wants to go home after being away for two and a half months? Not me! I want to stay away from home forever and eat preservatives for the rest of my life, especially those wonderful, instant, fake mashed potatoes with gravy made from powder; those are my favorite. Okay, NO I am SO excited to come home!!!!! Mom's going to make some butt kicking food! And I miss Sadie SO much and my house SO much, because it's spring and I love my house during spring! And summer and fall and winter......... And, I suppose I'll get to see my parents too................YAY!!!! We're going to have some quality family time, you know, like those realistic, pictures of the ideal, American families on the cover of board games where there are two parents, two kids-a boy and a girl, and grandma or grandpa sitting in the middle obviously incapable of understanding how to play the game because the rest of the family is obviously helping them roll the dice. And they all have brown hair except the grandparent, who has of course had a full head of white hair. Sorry, we talked about this in Soc. and it was really funny. But, yep, that's what's goin' down this weekend. WATCH YOUR BACK, Carmen could be ANYWHERE! YOU know what I'm talkin' 'bout my sweet chili bean! AHHHHHH I'm SO uh, FULL OF POTENTIAL AND FREE ENERGY! It's all about the WOO WOO!
